Welcome to Reverb Spring 2011!

Greetings, fellow fans, friends & fembers of Project Philly!

Wait, you caught that? Ok, fine. I was just digging the alliteration and REALLY didn't want to type “members”. Well . . . fine then, here's another “F” word. FEBRUARY. Yes, folks – it's here. So, what does February have in store for Project Philly?

Our Spring Semester of Reverb (Project Philly's college grad age+ group) is about to kick off on February 13th. This semester is going to be seriously cool – and I'm not just talking weather. As we are about to start our eighth semester of Reverb – we, for the first time ever, have TWO Reverb groups! That's right. Reverb Camo & Reverb Plaid, headed up by Kristen Laidig & Joe Hawkins, respectively.

This past fall brought an influx of new members to our organization. The majority of the new members found us on Google – which is utterly exciting. Warmest welcome to our newest Project Members in Reverb: Andrea Blumberg, Ellen Carson, Michele Cohen, Whitney Connelly, Madeline Good, Katie Kaczmarek, Samantha Lakin, Reka Magge Courtney Prizer, Jason Schwalm, Emily Summers and Mark Ursom. Get your Jn, Bm, Dm, Doo & Za's ready!

For those of you want to know what else we've got up our sleeves . . . we just finished up a spectacular weekend in conjunction with the LMAC Invitational Concert. During the day, our Director of Education, Tom West, & Project Philly Alum, Jamie Howe, ran workshops on arranging, directing/rehearsing, vocal percussion & performance. Later that afternoon, the groups scheduled to perform that evening had the opportunity to perform in front of a panel & receive feedback & suggestions to enhance their performance. The evening ended with a fantastic concert, featuring LMAC's Ace Harmony, Ace's Angels, Harriton's Pitch Please & Temple's Owlcappella.

I tell you that . . . to tell you this: since this summer, the board of Project Philly has been concentrating their efforts on trying to bring more events like this to you, more performance opportunities to the groups & in general, just offer the community a chance to learn more about a cappella. It's a very exciting year for Project Philly. Keep watching us.

Until next time!

Your Fembership Coordinator (oh let me have it, just this one time)
